The speech above is from Adolf Hitler's speech in Essen, Germany at the Krupp Factory in 1936. One of the most successful forms of Nazi Propaganda was the film "Triumph of the Will" or, Triumph des Willens, in German. This 1934 film was commissioned by Hitler and shows the events of the Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg. This film was used to show the power of Adolf Hitler and gain support for Nazi Germany.
Adolf Hitler legally became chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933. "Six months after Hitler’s appointment, democracy was dead in Germany. Hitler’s decrees had the force of law, civil rights had disappeared, and the Nazis were the only legal political party” (Harron, 2009, 54). Speech, Images, and public spectacles made his influence unwavering. |
